We announce that as of the 3rd of December 2016 following our set at the beat Cancer Charity day at the Staincliffe Hotel Seaton Carew the name of Heavy Mod will cease. We have decided to pursue other avenues and we will be concentrating on The Citadels 2017 onwards. Our friendship remains strong, no dramatic falling out and we remain committed to each other as ever. We thank our previous drummer Ben Conroy for his effort, loyalty and contribution to the band and he departed the band in May 2016 on best of terms. We thank each and every venue, promoter and booking agents throughout the last 5+ years who has booked the band, too many to mention. We have played some amazing gigs including the Cavern at the Liverpool Mod Weekender three times and March of the Mods event, cheers Eddie, the Northern Ireland Weekender in Bangor, thanks Robert and Henry, the Small Faces Convention, Stone Valley and Redcar Scooter Festivals, many other festivals, charity events and of course gigs all around the North East from Redcar to Ashington and everywhere in between. We are extremely proud and thankful for the opportunities this band has given us as individuals and have met many wonderful people along the way and we look to continue this journey but Heavy Mod as a name will cease on the 3rd of December 2016.

Thanks and love Mick, Adam, Martin and James
